Project - The Sims Online (EA-Land)
Electronic Arts announce the
closing of EA-Land, originally called The Sims Online. Official
Announcements can be read
here and
here.
The object of this site can have many purposes, but the current focus is
keeping EA-Land opened. How can this be done? Some would say it's
impossible, I am sure Electronic Arts agrees. There decision was probably
financial, finances have no mercy for the hearts of Sims.
August 1st is Final Sunset... We believe something could be worked out. Some
ideas have been listed in the forum. They range from multiplying the Sim
population to as far as making an offer to purchase the game from
Electronic Arts and having a user owned world. Other possibilities go as far
as creating our own platform or private servers.
The fate of your virtual being lies in the hands of corporations.
We hope all mmorpg's, online gaming communities and virtual cultures
will join us. Read our Official

Other SUCCESSFUL Player
Campaigns
Planetside players
decided to start up their own marketing campaign after they felt that SOE
was not doing enough advertising for their favorite MMORPG game. They
created a nice movie highlighting the game and helped new players obtain and
install the free 7 day trial. This player driver campaign has led to
thousands of new players in the game and made a noticeable impact. |
